Slightly improved visuals on Ball / Nodes, SFX on Rotate, Fog VFX


Iterating with tiny, positive changes continues!

  • The ball visual has changed, and I'm finally happy with it. It went from a 3D geodome-like hemisphere to...well, a circle. It's more flat, which I like, but it still has a cool shadow, which I also like
  • Also updated the Nodes and the little "shooter spikes" (muzzles?). I'm still not 100% on them, I just flattened out the muzzles and rounded corners on the main body of the node...but it's an improvement.
  • Added a little SFX "tick" to the rotation of the Nodes. I got inspired by Holedown, which has a very tactile feeling due to a nice tick that plays when you aim
  • Finally, Fog "onDestroy" VFX wasn't always playing, specifically when you remove fog by placing walls / nodes. Now it does! And it looks really nice
  • OOh! I did add one more color palette, just for kicks

That's about it for now. I'm continuing with play-testing and making these small tweaks here and there, but I want to work towards something much bigger. Any ideas? Would you like to see non-randomized levels? A campaign? A scoring system and leader board? More unique nodes?
