Changelog 9/9/2020: Bad Containers, New Maps, Saving out Settings
In this latest build, I've attempted to up the difficulty and flow of the game. The driver of that is the "Chaos Node" or bad container as I call it behind the scenes. It is a dark node that appears randomly on maps with 10 HP. After 10 bounces, 1 of 3 bad things happens:
- A gold thief appears and steal 25% of your current gold
- An area around the Node blows up, destroying EVERYTHING (walls, gold, placed nodes, Repeaters even)
- A Void Node will spawn (rarest)
This adds to the strategy of the game, I hope it isn't too tedious or difficulty now. I've enjoyed the new addition. Where I'm going from here is to introduce a similar "good container" that appears randomly on the map. It will contain massive amounts of gold or even skill tree points. When we get there, I will probably lock the Amplifier and Piercing Nodes behind these skill trees, and I think we will have a much better flow of gameplay then. It's not too far off now though.
Other important changes
- Level selection now saves out
- Level selection is more intuitive (hopefully)
- Added 3 more levels
- Game Settings now save out
- Added Ball Speed and Ball Lifetime to the Game Settings
- Voids now reveal themselves after the first time they are hit
- Pressing "C" to center the camera now zooms to the selected node (or a repeater if nothing is selected)
